Counting my blessings more...
Monday, February 05, 2007

Am I counting God's blessings four times more than my list of complaints? No.

Sometimes, I say I want to focus my eyes on God, yet my mind is still wondering around, thinking about my problems.

There's a story about 2 boxes. Black and gold. God gives these boxes to one boy. Black is for him to put his sorrow and gold is for him to put his blessings. So, as the time goes by, he puts the blessings and the sorrows to each box, but the gold box gets heavier and heavier while the black box stays the same as it was at first. He's wondering so he opens up the two boxes and find something strange. The gold is so full of blessings that he got from God, while the black box has a hole below it and it's empty. SO he asks God, "God, where do my sorrows go?"

God answers, "They're here with Me."
He asks again, "Why is there a hole inside the box?"

"You see, the blessings are for you to keep and the sorrows are for you to let go...."

So, yeah, sometimes, i say I want to focus but then, i'm keeping it in my hands instead of letting it go...
"Focus on your giants, you stumble.
Focus on God, your giants tumble."

God, please help me to apply this into my life. To count Your blessings more than my sorrows. =)
Thank You for today. I could sing well because of You, I could be just usual and not so nervous, because of You. I'm sorry if ever I took the glory...I am giving it back to You. God, You are amazing...You changed my heart, You are amazing!! Amen!! Thank You, Lord!!! I am amazed by You...
